Surface Drains & Catch Basins
Collect water at low spots, runoff paths, or areas where water pools. Catch basins and solid drain pipe route collected surface water toward an appropriate outlet, subject to the site's available elevations.

Call 912-254-1918Standing water, yard erosion, or water running toward your house? Landco Development LLC evaluates where the water comes from, how the ground slopes, and where it can discharge before recommending the work.
Water moving across the surface, saturated soil, and a yard sloping toward the house can require different corrections. Some projects combine drainage and grading.
Collect water at low spots, runoff paths, or areas where water pools. Catch basins and solid drain pipe route collected surface water toward an appropriate outlet, subject to the site's available elevations.
Move roof water away from the area where a downspout empties beside the house. Landco evaluates pipe routing, discharge, and how the roof runoff affects the rest of the yard.
When ground slopes toward a structure, grading may be part of the correction. We evaluate fixed elevations, access, existing surfaces, and the available water path before reshaping the ground. See our grading services.
Shape surface water paths to intercept or guide runoff around problem areas. A swale, diversion berm, or dry creek bed may be appropriate where the site has sufficient fall and a suitable discharge location.
Repair eroded areas and address the concentrated runoff that caused the washout. Depending on the scope, stabilization may include seed, straw, erosion-control matting, or rock protection. Finish and stabilization work are identified in the written proposal.
A French drain can help collect water within saturated soil where site conditions and discharge permit. It has its own dedicated service page: French drain installation. Surface runoff may also need a catch basin or grading correction.
A drainage system needs somewhere for the water to go. Landco reviews the incoming water, low points, ground elevations, machine access, and proposed outlet. Gravity drainage depends on available fall; adding pipe alone does not correct every drainage problem.
Fixed elevations and shallow private systems can limit routing. Irrigation, private utility lines, and other buried items need to be disclosed before excavation. The agreed scope sets the project limits and responsibilities.
Landco does not pour concrete or asphalt. Drainage or grading work beside an existing paved surface is evaluated as part of the site review.
These photos document site conditions, installation, and the finished work on a Lawrenceville drainage project.

Start with the source of the water. A surface drain collects runoff at the ground surface; a French drain collects water within the soil. Grading may be needed when the ground sends water toward the house. Landco evaluates the site before recommending a system.
Negative grade correction is part of Landco's grading and drainage work. What can be changed depends on elevations, access, existing improvements, and where water can discharge.
Yes. The scope should address both the eroded ground and the water path causing the damage. Stabilization is specified separately so you know whether seed, straw, matting, or other protection is included.
Send the project location, a description of what happens when it rains, and photos of the affected area and surrounding slope. Photos help qualify the project; elevations and an on-site review may still be needed to define the correction.
Landco serves Athens, Conyers, Gwinnett County, and surrounding North Georgia communities. Coverage includes Lawrenceville, Snellville, Dacula, Grayson, Loganville, Auburn, Winder, Monroe, Bogart, Jefferson, Braselton, and Hoschton.
Service availability depends on project scope, machine access, schedule, and mobilization. Coastal Georgia project inquiries may be reviewed by arrangement.
